versatile, rugged DSLR camera pack

I have been using a top loading Lowepro pack with chest harness, all from MEC, for five years to haul my Nikon D80/28-300 zoom. It can be cinched high enough to use while mountain biking giving access to the large camera more quickly than can buddies with their compact P and S cameras in their pockets! The front pocket is thin but perfect for filters and extra padding for the inevitable fall...haven't broken anything, on the camera, yet. Matches and counterbalances my Camel Back perfectly. The walls of the pack have their own padding, very secure. I recommend this camera pack very highly, mine is starting to show a bit of wear on the corners, probably only get another five or ten years out of it. It has the standard Lowepro pack-poncho included but, of course, I never ride in the rain. Ride safe, take pictures with a big camera. R
