purchased a 171, I am 6'3 190pds. Went on a glacier traverse with this mojo. Make sure you are equally or more fit than your fellow alpine skiers as you need a few quick minutes to split or reconnect your board. I was soft bootin it with some flow bindings, make sure you have some bindings you can exit fast if you cant get out of an avi path. Also get some extra screws, an extra plate pin and some twine JIC.
Back to the mojo, I had a great time, took a few extra minutes from time to time but I am in pretty good shape so had no problem keeping up and was usually staying ahead of the group while skinning or on the transition. On the downhill ride portion, the splits excel, you cannot beat a split board no matter what any skier says, simple physics of the surface area and your stance make for a phenomenal ride down. The front and back edges were carving away wind crust as I leaned into the mountain and laid some huge roosts while the skiers were having a tough time with their powder skis. Then the powder surf portions were even better. I really could not tell the mojo was actually a split board when connected, it was solid and aggressive on the way down.
I have not ridden any other splits but the mojo exceeded my expectations. Nice and light, skins were great, hardware performed solid, board was split and connected with ease and efficiency.
Hopefully the splits get some solid tech advances over the next many years, I will reload in say 5 years. MEC get some Prior's in your catalog as well to compare.
Best part: Skip the ski hills altogether with the mojo and go fresh on each decent.
