MEC MEC Dynamic 3 Pants (Youths')
Indispensable, go-anywhere fleece pants. The relaxed fit layers well and is a nice, breathable layer to slide under shelled pants.

Our eldest is cold averse. MEC fleece pants, including these, have kept her camping comfortably since infancy. She wears them four seasons for camping, skiing, paddling - but also to school, church and friends'.
Previous pairs have now been handed down to her her younger siblings. There is incredibly little "wear" in them. The seams are strong, the waistbands intact, nothing has ripped or scuffed. If they continue to be like the other MEC clothing we've purchased, they'll go on to also clothe the younger kids of the friends we camp with.

not what I was hoping for

I bought these to replace the Yeti pants that my son had grown out of. Unfortunately, these are a relaxed fit which is very bulky to fit under snow and rain pants, tuck into boots, keep out mosquitoes etc. As well, the sizes from the Yeti pants to the Dynamic pants jump from a 6 to an 8. The size 8 dynamic are too big and his old size 6 Yeti pants are too short.
These will not be a suitable replacement and I will have to look elsewhere.

I bought 2 pairs of these for my boys aged 11 & 13. My 11 year old is long and lean and is wearing the size 14. My 13 year old is of average build and is wearing the size 16. Both pairs are roomy and will likely fit them for some time. Both my boys say these pants are cozy and warm and their first choice on a chilly morning. I have not put these in the dryer and they seem to be retaining their very soft fabric well. I would definitely buy these again.
