Great Snowsuit
Date: March 4, 2010
I really like this snowsuit for my son. He is big for his age and is now an 8 mos. baby in a 12 mos. snowsuit (it is a little big still). I was a little worried about what snowsuit to buy because we go for walks in some pretty cold weather and no infant snowsuits have cold ratings. But I have taken him out in a baby carrier in -40 (with windchill) with only this snowsuit and an extra blanket. I just dress him in his normal clothes underneath and he has stayed warm without any problems. The only downside to this snowsuit is that it does not have mitts or booties attached.
Pros: Wind resistant, super warm, Easy to put on
Cons: no attached mitts and booties

I love my toaster snowsuit although I was a little misled by the reviews. My baby is 7,5 months old (21lbs) and according to the reviews the suit fit large so I purchased the 12 month bunting and it just fit. I'm hoping it will get us through the winter. It's a dream to put on and take off and is made for little people without necks! (Previous to this suit, I returned 3 snowsuits that had necks, therefore I was unable to zip up all the way leaving baby exposed.) When I attempted to purchase this suit from MEC online in Dec. I found out they were sold out from Coast to Coast and will not be reordering until next winter both the toaster suits and booties! I would hope that for next season they will be prepared and have more new suits and booties available. I was able to find mine on Kijiji.
Pros: Stylish, Comfortable, Breathable, well designed neck, two zipper closure
Cons: undersized

Good investment

Great one piece. Fits well, easy to put on and my daughter loves it. The flip over part at the hands so I don't always have to put mitts on her if we are just heading to the truck is wonderful. We wanted something that would allow all the kids to be outside lots regardless of the weather and keep warm. The only improvement would be to have reflector piping on it. My daughter is 21 months but has been walking for a year, and it would be nice to see her a little better outside after dark. Otherwise I highly recommend it!
Pros: Stylish, Comfortable
Cons: no reflector piping

Best Snowsuit!
Date: November 28, 2009
My daughter is 14 1/2 months and about the 75th percentile in her growth chart and she wears a size 12 months in this suit. I would not say it is HUGE fitting, but I am glad I did not buy a size 18 months. Next winter she will be in a size 18 months and she will be 2 then. I guess it would be fair to say buy a size down, unless your child is really tall. Other than size issue (but I prefer bigger to small) and that the inner attached hand covers need to be a bit bigger, this suit is warm and very good for Canadian winters.
Pros: Stylish, Comfortable, Breathable

Too big for 6 months
Date: September 13, 2009
I just got this suit in the mail, and it looks very warm and good quality. Unfortunately my baby won't be able to wear it this winter, because I ordered the 6 month size and it would maybe fit a 1 year old, it's HUGE. A 6 month old baby would fill up about half of this suit. So think of the "6 month" size as more like "9-12 month" size. The top of the hood to the bottom of the leg measures 31 inches, and baby's feet will extend beyond the bottom of the leg because there are no foot flaps (so think 33 inch long baby or so)
Other than the large size, it looks like a great suit! Very well-insulated, even the hood is insulated. There are no flaps to go over hands or feet, so keep in mind baby will need to wear gloves and boots. I will keep the suit & use it next winter.
Pros: Stylish, Comfortable, Warm
Cons: fits large, no fold-over hand or foot flaps

so warm
Date: July 16, 2009
Took the boy skiing in -10 in this suit (with some layers underneath and hotshots in his boots). Everytime I checked his temperature on the trail, he was cozy and toasty warm.
The zip system is great, allowing total access and the hood is similarly well-designed.
Being able to get out in -10, for even a short little ski with my tyke surely helped us all stave off cabin fever in the depths of winter.
Thanks for a great product mec

Works Great
Date: March 28, 2009
We took our daughter backcountry snowshoeing this past winter. She stayed warm, sitting in her trailer, while dressed in same layering we were for the whole trip.
Also great just for playing out in the snow.
Pros: Durable, Good fit
