It's stylish and keeps me super warm. It's kept me warm while camping on during the cool spring weather in the interior Interior and I can wear it around the house or to run errands.

I'll never buy another again
Date: October 29, 2009
Super warm, keeps body heat in, elastics on the side of the arms cut all wind, useful all through fall and spring.
Nice length for once, I'm tall so usually that's a problem! MEC, this is my best purchase from you guys yet!
Pros: Stylish, Comfortable, Breathable

Wear it all the time
Date: October 15, 2009
This vest is my favourite purchase of the year. I wear it several times a week. Whether hiking, walking downtown, biking.. there's no situation it hasn't suited as long as there's a bite in the air to call for it.
There is a stretchy lining inside the arm holes which I found a bit annoying. The pink (in the eggplant purple vest) showed out, and I just didn't like having anything tight in my armpits. So I cut the stretchy part out near the seam, which didn't affect the rest of the vest in anyway and was simply a style/comfort preference. . Great vest. Fits well. Looks great. Very warm.

Very Versatile!
Date: April 23, 2009
I love this vest so much! My boyfriend bought this vest for me last fall and since then I've worn it hiking in the fall, as a layer on cold days skiing, snowshoeing, and over a fleece on warm winter days to get the kids off the bus and now hiking in the spring. It stows away in my pack just incase I need an extra layer. I've washed it twice already, spillage in my pack, and it came out perfectly. The only thing I could say is the exact same thing as all the other woman out there, a little extra room in the hips would be awsome.
Pros: Breathable, Stylish, Lightweight, Warm, Durable

BEST Vest in the World!
Date: March 8, 2009
I have had my vest now for over 9 years and it still looks like the day I bought it! I have since bought this vest for 3 of my friends & family for B'day gifts. Some may think it's a little pricey and I had originally thought the same when I purchased it for myself, but honestly save your pennies it is well worth every cent! Wear this with a fun wool scarf, a pair of jeans, some EMU or UGG boots and you will definitely not feel dressed down! Not only will you be stylish & comfortable you will be warm!
Pros: Stylish, Strong, Vibrant Colors, Good Length

Amazingly versatile all year round
Date: February 19, 2009
This vest is lightweight, super packable and warm. I get cold easily, so I take this with me on all my trips. When snowshoeing, cross country skiing, mountain biking and hiking I put it on when I stop for breaks. It's also great at night when the temperature drops, and I need that extra warmth that just a fleece alone doesn't give me. It folds up really small into its packing pocket and I keep it stuffed in my pack all the time.
I've had my vest for 5 years and it's still going strong. The loft is still good, and the nylon has never ripped, and I've probably used it almost every day during that time.
Pros: Durable, Warm, Lightweight

Narrow through hips
Date: January 30, 2009
I bought this vest for the cooler fall weather. I love the look but it seems to be really narrow through the hips - almost as if its designed for males and not females. The vest fits well through the chest and shoulders. I'm thinking of having elastic inserts added for a more comfortable fit.
Pros: Comfortable, Durable, Windproof, Warm, Lightweight

Toasty Warm!
Date: November 24, 2008
I wanted something that would fit under my waterproof coat, but not make me too warm. This vest is great for that and for just wearing with a hoodie.
Pros: Comfortable, Warm
Cons: Go a size up for the hips

Amazing vest
Date: October 31, 2008
I have had my vest for about 8 or 9 years. I wear it pretty much everyday in the fall, winter and spring. Although the fabric is light it has never torn. I have only ever had to spot wash it. I have worn it in the rain and it dries well. It is warm enough to wear with a long sleeved shirt and cool enough to wear with multiple layers. I love it. Since I have purchased mine, my mom, dad, grandpa, and 4 sister in laws have bought one. The only thing is that I do not like the styling of the new version. I prefer the horizontal look rather than the diagonal.
Pros: Stylish, Breathable, Warm, Lightweight, Comfortable, Durable
Cons: Not Waterproof

Love this vest
Date: October 27, 2008
I just wanted to say that I bought this vest over 4 years ago, and it is the best investment I have ever made. I have gone from temperatures of -20 C to 15 C wearing this with nothing but a hoodie underneath. I traveled through Europe with this, and my vest had been really roughed up, but it still looks new as ever. I recommend this to anyone over the North Face and Columbia. It definately took a beating with me wearing it almost everyday in cool and cold weather climates.
Pros: Warm, Breathable, Comfortable, Durable, Lightweight

Great product, great price!
Date: February 17, 2008
I've worn this vest in everything from mild (-5C) to severe (-50C) winter weather and would recommend it to anyone. Unlike your other reviewers, I have no problems with a snug fit in the hips. I normally wear a S/M, but have a L in this vest (due to the fact that I wear a few layers under it), so others may find it helpful to go up a size or two from what they normally wear. I wear it exclusively for work, and even though it's put through a lot, I find it exceptionally durable (only 1 small tear, so far). I've had it for a year, and would purchase another in a second.
Pros: Warm, Durable

Love it, but too tight in the hips
Date: December 5, 2007
This vest is great, but it fits way to snug around the hips (for all us ladies with curves), and way too big in the chest. Other than this, it's very warm, comfortable and light to wear. I wear it to hockey games, to school, for walks and to the mall.
Pros: Durable, Warm, Lightweight

Too Small in the Hips, But Still Great!
Date: November 25, 2007
This vest is great, but small in the hips. I had to buy an XL and it is still tight in my hips, but fairly loose and large in the shoulder area.
Pros: Lightweight, Durable, Warm
Cons: Too Small in the Hips, Too Big in the Shoulders

Warm vest!
Date: November 18, 2007
I really love this vest...it keeps me sooo warm but I have to agree with other reviewers. It is too tight around the hips (and I don't have big hips) and it's too bulky in the shoulder area. Depending on what you are wearing underneath, I sometimes don't bother zipping it up because of the tightness in the hips. Other than that, I love it and wear it in every season except summer.
Pros: Durable, Warm

I wear this vest all the time during the fall. Even my grandmother has borrowed it to stay warm. Very versatile. I find it a bit snug at the hips but it is not a bother. Overall a great vest.

great vest for a great price
Date: September 12, 2007
I love this vest so much. Price was great. I did however find that since I am a "pare" shaped gal, I did find it tight around the hips and a bit to large in the shoulders. I can easily fit a light hoodie under it for added warmth. And it works perfect for those times when you need a place to put your head.
Pros: Lightweight, Warm, Waterproof, Durable
Cons: Doesn't Breathe
