One heck of a shirt, job well done!!!
Date: July 14, 2008
This is one of the best MEC shirts I ever had. I always like size large and wear it loose but I find the way this shirt stretchy that medium size has the perfect body length and shoulder width. I got one summit lake and then I bought two more, raindrop and cub.
The plastic snaps with logo seem a bit too much of MEC'ish but the embroidered logo should be on the front pocket, not hiding at the bottom of the shirt. I tell you what, I will buy a couple more if it comes with additional colour choice and with two front pockets plus MEC logo on the left front.
Pros: Breathable, Perfect size, Good fit
Cons: No twin pocket

Great shirt...Fits well...Looks good...Very durable...Excellent colour selection...Fabric seems to be softer and stretchier than the 2007 version of this shirt...
On the downside, MEC has gotten rid of the pearly snaps for 2008 and replaced them with clear plastic snaps with their logo on them...Not the end of the world, but I think the pearly snaps were WAY nicer...Also, they're now embroidering their logo at the bottom of the shirt...I'm not all that into being MEC's billboard...
Pros: Good fit
Cons: No pearly snaps, Now with MEC's logo

Very stylee off the bike
Date: September 13, 2007
With no back pockets, I haven't considered using this shirt as a bike jersey but it is a really good looking, comfortable shirt with a great fabric feel and just the right amount of stretch. I love the deep cove colour. I'm sure it would make a decent freeriding shirt (I guess freeriders don't need back pockets - do they all wear hydration packs?) but for me it has become one of my favourite three-season shirts off the bike.
Pros: Good fit, Breathable, Looks great

So good I'm going to buy another one.

I love the feel of this product. The only downfall I can see is that it is so stylish you may cause accidents on the trails due to people looking at you and not where they are going. This shirt I found is also exceptional for hiking and travelling. If backpacking, the wrinkles are easy to get rid of just by wearing it or hanging it next to you in the shower. Overall a great functional product that I wear for everything; from going out on the town to biking, this shirt feels good, has great breathability and keeps you cool.
Pros: Breathable, Good fit
Cons: Not enough colour choices

Retro Gasworks...
Date: March 29, 2007
From the second I spied this in the Catalogue, I knew it had to be mine. This exceptionally styled retro button up (complete with the pearly snaps) wears very well, has just the right amount of stretch*. It has the look and feel of the 70s era gas-jockey button-ups. (The ones you see with Larry/Guido/Steve patches on them). It also lives up to its billing as excellent at wicking away moisture.
*This can be especially important for climbers, like myself, who tend to have very wide backs as compared to all else.
Pros: Durable, Perfect amount of stretch, Versatile
