Frontiersman Frontiersman Bear Bell

Prevention is always your first and best defence against a bear attack. This little bell gives bears a chance to hear you coming, and to avoid you if they wish. Its metallic ring, a sound not found in nature, may cause bears to amble away rather than investigate.

Bears? Dogs check

Date:January 4, 2013
I bought these to scare off bears and since we haven't encountered any maybe they're doing the job but what I really like is how I can keep track of my Golden Retriever when she is wondering around in the bush. I wrap one around her collar and have another strapped to her Ruffware backpack...on a side note MEC this(Ruffware Dogpack) is an item that you should consider carrying. Lots of members hike, camp and ski with their better halves(dogs)
Pros: Rugged, Lightweight, Simple, Good Value, Reliable

my dog hates them

Date:March 12, 2011
hah, it's a superb product, my dog actually hates them tho.. he's just not used to them and will jump around madly when i put one on him..
i actually love them, that way i can know where my good for nothing bull terriers are sticking their noses in the wood ;)
i bought three of them, two for them and one for my backpack.. only one of my dogs hate it, the other is too young and happy to care
Pros: Rugged, Simple, Reliable

A must have for a dog!

Date:October 29, 2010
I buy these in bulk as they work great for the dog that loves to run through the bush but they do sometimes fall off ( they are small and not easy to find.) I can always tell where my dog is and so can hopefully the wildlife. I find that the bells don't work very well in the winter as they clog up with snow, but that can be easily fixed.
Pros: Rugged, Lightweight, Simple, Good Value

Great dog bell too!

Date:December 28, 2007
I bought my first of these bells for an adventure race, but found a more common use for them. I strap them to my dogs' collars when I take them out hiking or mountain biking with me, and it makes it SO easy to keep track of them in the woods.
Pros: Effective

jingle jingle

Date:September 25, 2007
Easy to put on and take off your pack. It is best used in an area where it has a little freedom to move, this gives a louder noise.
Pros: High Quality, Durable, Good Value
