Love this bag!
Date: January 22, 2010
I've had this bag for a few years now and I really do love it ... every time I slid into it I feel at home. I've used it in late fall/ winter/early spring and even draped over zipped open in summer for the cooler temps that prairies dip to once the heat of the day is gone. I'm hard on things so I know that it's well made. I need something warmer for most of our Saskatchewan winters so I'm considering a Thor since the quality of this bag leads me to believe sticking with a bag made by MEC is the way to go. Oh yeah... the prices always make that descision so easy compared to other bags out there!
Pros: Comfortable, Well made

Great bag, try it out first
Date: November 13, 2009
Great bag, drawstrings are a bit hard to keep organized when you're sleeping with anything on like an undershirt. Shoulders are a bit more narrow than say... the merlin. The zipper is great, durable and has good feel, and this bag repels wind and moisture better than any MEC bag I've tried out in this price range. Totally great bag, compacts well. Comfortable neck scruff, I'd recommend this to anyone.
Pros: Comfortable, Rugged
Cons: could be more compact but not for the feature set

Great sleeping bag
Date: June 22, 2009
This sleeping bag keeps me nice and warm during the cool nights out in the mountains. It is comfortable--not to wide, not to narrow. It also has a double zipper so that I can stick my feet out if they get too warm without having to unzip the whole bag. It is a simple, and effective sleeping bag.
Pros: Comfortable

Doubles as a slow cooker...
Date: November 10, 2008
After much research and debating, I settled on this bag for my trip to Mt.Kilimanjaro in Tanzania. Not sure if it would be adequate for the cold temps I would experience as the trip wore on, I also purchased the MEC fleece liner to beef up the insulation of the bag. Well the bag alone was more than adequate, and the liner proved to be useless on this trip! I actually had trouble sleeping the first few nights because I was overheating in the bag! If I had a complaint with this bag, it would be that some sort of venting would be nice, so you don't have to undo the main zipper. Other than that, the bag did a great job of keeping me warm and dry. Got a little damp on the surface from condensation in the tent, but stayed dry inside. Compresses nicely and regains it's loft when unpacked. Highly recommended!
Pros: Compact, Easy To Pack, Comfortable, Lightweight, Durable

Superb
Date: October 11, 2008
Found this to be very warm and comfortable, but the neck collar on the inside ripped at the seam, leaking the down feathers. The little velcro and zippered pockets on the inside are very handy for keeping little knick-naks in. Went on a 35 day canoe trip this summer, found that it was to big when packed in compression sack, so I put it in a 20 litre drybag. It did not fit in my 30 litre dry sack when all packed up. But, I guess you give up space for warmth. Overall good bag, but could be a bit sturdier
Pros: Warm, Comfortable
Cons: Bulky, Tear easily

The best sleeping bag I have ever owned. I find it extremely warm and comfortable to sleep in. The water-resistant portions of the bag helped on the days i couldn't keep away from the edges of the tent and got a little moisture.
Pros: Comfortable, Easy To Pack, Durable, Good venting, Compact
Cons: Loses tiny bits of down

Let's put it this way, in the winter time, I would prefer to use this on my own bed at home! I love the bag, it's compact, light and very warm. An overbag with some weather protection would be beneficial in wetter conditions.
Pros: Compact, Durable
Cons: Looses feathers
