Love my spork.
Date: September 10, 2009
No complaints.
It's light and simple, the prongs haven't bent after 3 1/2 months of exclusive use. If you like sporks it's great - if you're a separate spoon and fork person don't bother.

Best $10 I ever spent
Date: August 6, 2009
I hemmed and hawed about spending $10 on a single utensil, but now I can safely say it is my favorite piece of kit. At 15g, it is also the lightest thing I take hiking.
An elegantly simple design that will last forever. It is stiff and strong enough to not just eat your food, but stir it in the pot as well. If you need to dig a small emergency hole in the ground, it can probably do that too. (I have not tested that though)
I have used it every day for the last 4 or 5 years to eat my lunches and suppers - I am very attached to it , and after I lost my first one, I replaced it immediately.
Does it work as well as a fork for fork things? No.
Does it work as well as a spoon for spoon things? No.
Is it the best of both worlds? Definitely.
It works great for things either a spoon or fork are not good at - items like thick stews, rice dishes and salads, which need a combination of scooping and spearing.
If I could afford it, I would have a extra compartment in my cutlery drawer filled with sporks.
Pros: Rugged, Lightweight, Simple, Good Value, Reliable

Alright
Date: August 3, 2009
Good enough to do everything but thin soup is not that easy to eat and the fork part is not sharp enough to stab a steak and pick it off the grill. I think for the price it could have been designed a little better.
Pros: Rugged, Lightweight, Simple
Cons: Expensive, not sharp enough

Another surprising winner!
Date: June 6, 2009
We have a barbecue at work, and end up eating things like steak quite often. While everyone else is breaking brittle plastic forks with every third bite, I'm cruising along with a space-age Super-Utensil.
I am on board with all the positive notes in the reviews here, but have not noticed any of the negatives over the last six months. I have used the Snow Peak Titanium Spork for thick steaks and thin soups; if it can handle those two extremes, it can handle just about anything.
Mind you, I wouldn't use it on non-stick cookware, but that goes for ANY metal implement.
Pros: Light, Compact, Stiff, Durable

KISS my Spork
Date: April 26, 2009
KISS Keep It Simple Stupid. This spork is elegant in it's simplicity. I love how light and durable this utensil is. Great for porridge or soup but will still handle a steak. It doesn't bend or break like the cheaper metal or plastic ones and you can really lean into it to cut something hard. However because of the tines on the bottom it is difficult to get the last delicious drop from the bottom of my fairshare mug.
Pros: Compact, Durable, Light

What A Spork!
Date: November 11, 2008
I never thought I would be so happy with one utensil, but who wouldn't want a titanium spork? Very durable, works surprisingly well as a spoon and even occasionally did triple duty as a knife. Heat transfer was minimal. Edges are nicely rounded to reduce the chance of punctures when stored in a polybag. May seem a bit expensive but IMO it's worth the money.
Pros: Light, Compact, Durable

Depends how you eat!
Date: November 10, 2008
This passed the soup test - wasn't sure it would but it does hold enough to make a decent spoon full. Good with stew, but not so good at anything requiring longer tines to really secure your food. Also, for those of us who eat off the back of our fork, such refinement won't work with the rounded back of the spork.
Still a great tool - everyone should have one in their lunchbag for work.
Pros: Light

Mighty eating implement....
Date: September 25, 2008
These are simply great. No, they dont fold or have a built-in LED light... but they are light, simple, durable and very easy to clean.
It wont fit in a pot because it doesnt fold -- but you can always find a place in your pack or pocket to stash one of these, or hang it around your neck. Its advantage over the folding sporks is that it is significantly lighter and infinitely easier to clean because there are no crevices or joints for food and nasty germs to hide in.
Unlike steel, titanium has absolutely no taste. It does, however, have a very slightly matte texture to it. I notice that the newer ones have a more polished finish.
This is a mighty eating implement and all that you will need in the backcountry.
Pros: Durable, Compact, Light

Strong and Versitile and a Great Buy
Date: May 25, 2008
Great Tool! You will never have to replace it...Well...only if you lose it.Its very strong and versitile the only drawback is don't use it with non-stick cookwear or you will destroy it (the cookwear that is).
Pros: Light, Strong, Durable, Versitile
Cons: Scratches Cookwear Easily

Getting one for me
Date: October 10, 2007
My boyfriend has one of these, and after borrowing it several times during our latest long weekend backcountry trip, I have decided to invest in one for myself! It's perfect for foods like pasta, eggs, soup etc. I prefer the taste and texture of it over the lexan cutlery.
Pros: Compact, Light

Ready For Dessert
Date: July 23, 2007
Like any other metal utensils this one has a little metal taste which goes away with use. It is super light and I can use it to eat desserts any where I go, which is the main reason why I bought it, that and stirring coffee at the office. Even at home I have a set of 4 for the family. you can eat anything under the sun with it except steak (The fork part needs to be a little sharper).
Pros: Super light
Cons: NONE

Durable, but odd taste
Date: June 22, 2007
This spork (foon?) is very durable and lightweight, due to its titanium construction, but the titanium also seems to be its main fault - it has a peculiar taste and tactile sensation on the tongue that I personally find unpleasant. The fork part on the end of the spork also isn't pointed enough to pierce most foods.
Pros: Compact, Light
Cons: Weird taste

All you need
Date: March 8, 2007
I use the Spork and a Lexan Spoon for all cooking and eating. Usually the Spoon cooks, and the Spork is used for eating. Good for all meals. It eliminates having to carry a spoon and fork for eating by combining them. The only downside is the price. Soup and the Spork don't go together well, but its doable. Since the Spork is made of Titanium it doesn't get hot like Steel does when in something hot.
Pros: Light, Durable, Compact
Cons: Expensive
