Best Flavour and Price

Date:November 10, 2012
I have been buying this for years at MEC. I agree, I really wish it came in the big cans. Please bring those in!
My tip is if you mix some with boiling water before making, it dissolves completely and is exactly like what you would get in the store in a bottle.
We always have this for camping as it is good to keep the kiddies properly hydrated on hot trips. Also good for hydrating after a few beers around the campfire. :)
Pros: Good Value, Great taste

Tastes great

Date:August 22, 2011
I use this with the Podium cycling bottle. I only have one bottle cage so I carry one 725mL water bottle. Just water is a little lacking, especially since I do 15 km rounds for exercise. I find that 6 scoops (6 scoops /L is recommended) gives me electrolytes and a strong taste I like.
Tastes great. If you don't like the taste, you can dilute it so that it doesn't really show up at all. Cheaper than bottled Gatorade. I usually stock up a couple cans every 3 weeks - I've gone through 10 cans of these. Just wished MEC Vancouver would carry bigger cans.
This mixes 8L worth with recommended 8 tea spoons / L.
Pros: Simple, Good Value, Reliable, Tastes great

A Staple

Date:July 15, 2011
I've been having nothing but the blue gatorade for my weekly outings to the mountains for the past three years. I find I get too light-headed by just drinking water, but don't like the taste of the 100% Gatorade in the bottles. This way I mix in half of what's recommended to give me electrolyte replacement, but no odd taste. I do put this in a Platypus without any issues. I just wish MEC would carry the big cans of the blue gatorade again. For some reason the yeallow and orange are always easier to get, but I like the neutral (i.e., almost no taste) taste of the blue glacier freeze.
Pros: Simple, Good Value, Reliable

Great Taste!

Date:October 14, 2008
This product tastes great. The best Gatorade flavour by far. The powder version is much more convenient as it takes up much less space to store and you can mix it when you need it and in the quanitities that you need.
Pros: Flavorful, Easy To Prepare

Very pleasant taste

Date:May 24, 2008
I've started filling my 2L hydration pack with this stuff for day hikes. I find that it gives me just the 'push' I need without stopping for food or just drinking water. The taste isn't overpowering (i.e., not artificial-tasting), so quite pleasant and a real thirst quencher. My main reason for trying the powder was because it's more economically than always getting the bottled version, so I plan on sticking with this.
Pros: Easy To Prepare, Flavorful

better than "pre-mixed"

Date:September 9, 2007
I prefer the power version of Gatorade so that I can mix myself. I do a lot of running and biking (almost everyday) so I sometime change the ratio based on the distance I am going and the temperature. I usually mix it a bit weaker than the bottled version (one scoop for a 750mm water bottle). For a short run or bike I take one or two water bottles of my mixed Gatorade, for a long activity I mix it really strong in one water bottle, then put only water in my hydra-pack. I then alternate drinking between the bottle and the pack. This way it is easier to clean out the hydra-pack. Also the power is more economical than buying pre-mixed.
Pros: Good Value
