I got this knife for my daughter (my sons got the Victorinox Driver, and I still use my Victorinox knife from the 80's when I was a kid). Its a bit more stylish than the Driver and I thought the nail file was appropriate for a girl (certainly good for boys too, but I like the Driver's two blade system!).
Pros: Rugged, Lightweight, Simple, Reliable

The best minimalist Swiss Army Knife
Date:September 24, 2009
If you are looking for a minimalist Swiss Army Knife, then this is the ideal model. The Victorinox Cadet knife is extremely slim (and lightweight), so you can carry it in your pocket everywhere day to day unlike some of the bulkier models with many more features.
For a simple USEFUL all-purpose knife, the Cadet has all the necessary features (blade, can opener, screwdrivers, etc), without the bulk. I have several different types of Swiss Army knives, and this is the one I carry everywhere.
Pros: Rugged, Lightweight, Simple, Good Value, Reliable

Fantastic thin swiss army knife
Date:July 19, 2009
As with all Victorinox knives, the quality of this product is exceptional. With minimal care, it is sure to last a very long time. It is so thin and light that you will forget it's in your pocket most of the time. The aluminum scales are more durable than the typical plastic Swiss army knife scales. The basic set of tools means that it is extremely light, and not filled with random bits that you will rarely use. These few implements are enough for most things you would want to use a Swiss army knife for. You'd be hard pressed to find many other items that cost this little yet are of such high quality.
Pros: Rugged, Lightweight, Simple, Good Value, Reliable, at home in the city and in the woods
