Perfect bag for tae kwon do

I own a large bag and my young son uses the medium bag to carry all our tae kwon do gear to practice. They're the perfect size and the price was reasonable.

Perfect pack bag

Have a medium sized bag for each member of the family and find that it is perfect to stash each person's clothing whether going somewhere for a weekend or setting up a base camp.

Good bag, with one minor design blemish

Rugged, inexpensive duffle. I used a series of these to lug my life around North America. My only issue with them is that the snaps enclosing the handle on two bags ripped off. Mind you, I wasn't exactly exercising gentle care with them. But they still work, and I'd buy them again.

Probably one of the better bags out there. It pretty much holds up to everything and can hold everything one needs for a short trip and/or bumming around town on the motorcycle. Love the fact that I can fold it up and jam it into another bag as an extra suitcase on longer trips. Also, plus: the relative light weight of this bag means you can cram more into it and not get dinged by airline weight restrictions.
The only caveat I would have is that the shoulder strap doesn't adjust very much for us shorter people and/or women - I've had to stitch together a cross-strap with clips to 'pull' the shoulder strap tighter across my chest so the bag doesn't fly everywhere when I start running after the bus. I would also love another small pocket inside for valuables, but if you buy the MEC travel pouch it solves that problem pretty easily.
...another con is that they seem to multiply, because I own three and am currently eyeballing the green one.

Great Duffle Bag

I purchased the black medium one. It fits all my cross-country clothing and small gear. I also bought the navy one as a gift for a friend, who admired mine.

This is by far the best duffle I have ever owned. Nothing comes close when it comes to value and durability. I have used it for basketball, volleyball, as a suitcase for clothes, going to the gym and just as a bag for my books at school. I bought the medium in navy and it has shown virtually no wear. Great value, i'm going to buy several more for sure!

The only peice of luggage I ever use

There's a reason you see so many of these duffles at airports....they are indestructible!!! I have had mine for close to 10 years now and it is still in one peice. Huge zippers that will never break, thick nylon and huge capacity!! The only problem I have had is the leather strap that keeps the duffle handles together. The snaps are very stiff which strains the rivet. I had one of the snaps break on me (problem may have been fixed on newer models)....other than that I am completely satisfied with this bag.

This is HUGE!

I bought the large bag thinking that it would be a replacement for my workout/mini travel bag. Turns out it is way too big for that purpuse but it is a great bag none the less! I wish it had more side pockets but I can't complain about such a great bag for this value!
I will be buying the medium to fill the role I was looking for and I am happy to keep this bag for bigger jobs.

The price is very resonable, and the quality is pretty good. Very durable, the zippers are nice and big. The straps are sewn on very well as is the shoulder strap, was alittle concerned about which size to choose. Picking the medium size, I found it just right for basic items to take with you on short trips. Really happy with it.

excellent value and super tough

These bags are simply the best value for a super tough duffle bag you can find. I got 4 of the XL bags for a trip to go mountaineering in Bolivia last year and they were abused to the max for 2 full months of being straped all sort of porter/yak/ jeep. One was even dragged behind a burrow for some time up a trail and after that trip I'm still using them as they show suprisingly little wear. Since then I've bought several more.

Great Grad Gift for High School

For years we've added a few towels and given these bags as high school grad gifts. Years later those same grads tell us that they are still using the same bags, although, for the most part, they're no longer being used to haul laundry home to mom.

Terrific utility in a bag

Over the years (decades I should say) we have at one time or another owned all of the sizes of this great bag, and many multiples. As has been stated, the webbing which circles the bag adds tremendously to durability, as does the weight of the fabric.
Part of the reason that the price is kept so reasonable is the simplicity of design, and when more pockets etc are added the cost is obviously gonna go up. That said, I have wondered about a zippered compartment at one or both ends for shoes or whatever, and organizing things a bit.
The only negative I can think of (and the reason for less than five stars across the board) is that we have noted delamination of the interior coating on one of the older ones we have, a red one, and little bits are flaking off with regularity, causing it to be relegated to only occasional and not first-line use. Perhaps this issue is unique, or has been dealt with; time will tell.

This duffle might possibly be he best duffle ever. I work for the railroad as a locomotive engineer. Over the course of the last 30 years I have purchased and discarded at least 50 bags. The big attraction of this bag in my opinion is the straps are sown all the way around the bag. The seams and the sowing show absolutely no signs of giving out. It would be nice to have a few more pockets but by the time that version comes out I'll be retired.

Well worth the money

We bought one each of the M, L and XL for our summer holiday to Nova Scotia and we are very happy with them. While on vacation we went to the MEC in Halifax and ended up buying the S sized bag to cover off any use. In the XL we can easily fit 2 sleeping bags, a queen sized inflatable air mattress (deflated, of course) and two pillows without straining the zippers.

Fantastic bags, Just bought MORE!

My last review in July 2007, I mentioned that I had the Large (barracks, competitions, body armour, plate carrier) and
small (workout, motorcycle duffel, airplane carryon). Since then I bought MORE: XLarge for my treeplanting son and another Large for my bedding when travelling from base to base. My son treeplants for different contracts between Northern ON and Grande Prairie, AB. He cannot say enough about the XLarge bag! Now I need a medium one for my wife's motorcycle.... Black of course. LOL . Peace be to Journey!

Smashing bag!

I used these to replace suitcases on my recent European trip. I have two Medium and one small and used them for various parts of my trip.
They stood up well to the airline's handling, were easy to pack and easy to handle.
I really appreciated the metal shoulder strap rings, no risk of them breaking under load.
An inner "document" pouch would be helpful but not necessary; a couple of small metal loops, as tie-down points could be useful as well.
Overall a great bag for travel!

We bought this bag for our son to carry school texts etc.(basically his locker but portable!). We are so impressed with the quality of material and finishing. We checked out other bags at sports and department stores nothing came close to this bag in practical design and strength of materials.
